Cost Engineer

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer and maintain cost control systems and procedures to track project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts
• Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates
• Provide cost information to support decision and alternative selection
• Evaluate contractor invoices prior to submission for pre-approval
• Utilize information from Cost Capture System to report and validate spending
• Evaluate and analyse fee proposals and bids to provide recommendations
• Provide forecasts and cash flow analysis
• Maintain and manage the cost report and provide regular updates on financial position

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in cost engineering within Defence or highly regulated industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of software applications such as SAP or Sage
• Demonstrable Project Cost Control techniques
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to hold valid UK Security Clearance (SC)
• Must be a British National and hold a UK Passport
