Cost Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide cost engineering expertise and coordinate activities as a group/unit leader
• Prepare the cost portion of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts
• Collect, monitor, analyze, and report all cost information through the Project Manager
• Review and analyze all claims and Change Orders on project contracts
• Participate in the negotiation of project contracts
• Initiate action when total forecast indicates allocated funds will be exceeded
• Mentor and motivate young Saudi Engineers and train future colleagues
• Promote a culture of continuous business process improvements
• Stay updated on cost engineering developments through technical literature and professional meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Business Administration, MIS, or Accounting
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in cost engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, or power generation projects
• Familiarity with construction practices, materials, and equipment
• Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of international standard specifications and Aramco standards (Civil, Mechanical, and Piping disciplines)
