About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures for project budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
- Assist in creating project controls plans, cost estimates, and schedules in alignment with company handbooks and management systems.
- Support documentation for project funding appropriation and business planning.
- Configure and administer cost control systems, ensuring accurate interfaces with accounting and procurement.
- Track project progress, earned value, and deviations to provide detailed performance analysis.
- Develop monthly project cost and schedule status reports.
- Implement Cost Management of Change (CMOC) processes and manage project changes for approved budgets.
- Participate in cost and schedule assurance, risk management, and contingency evaluation through risk analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Cost Engineering experience, including estimating, scheduling, cost control, and forecasting.
- Proven experience in project controls activities such as progress measurement and assessment.
- General understanding of capital project execution and project management systems.
- Ability to work proactively and detail-oriented to recognize potential issues and propose solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Broad knowledge of industry trends, cost engineering best practices, and planning/scheduling.
- Experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes.
