Cost Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and monitoring of project budgets and cost plans
• Track actual costs against forecasts and report variances
• Assist in evaluating change requests and cost impacts
• Maintain cost control systems and financial records
• Prepare periodic cost reports for project management
• Coordinate with planning, commercial, and delivery teams on cost-related matters

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost engineering, cost control, or commercial support within design or construction projects
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and change management processes
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in cost management tools and Excel
• Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Experience with large-scale, complex projects is highly desirable
• Experience in the Middle East (particularly UAE) or within rail projects is an advantage
