Cost Controller

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the entire project lifecycle
• Prepare project budgets, cost plans, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports
• Track actual project costs against approved budgets and identify variances
• Analyze cost trends and recommend corrective actions to maintain budget objectives
• Review and verify contractor invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and variation orders
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams
• Prepare monthly cost reports, budget forecasts, and management dashboards
• Monitor procurement costs and ensure cost-effective purchasing practices
• Assist in tender evaluations and cost estimation for new developments
• Identify potential cost risks and recommend mitigation strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller
• Mandatory UAE experience in real estate development or construction
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Odoo
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA, CPA, PMP, or RICS
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices and project financial controls
