About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide cost control support to ongoing nuclear construction projects and ensure compliance with project controls standards.
- Assist in project set-up, converting bids into baseline budgets, and reconciling gaps.
- Create and maintain project status update reports, forecast reports, and project dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular variance analysis to understand trends and provide narratives for corrective actions or recovery plans.
- Prepare Earned Value Management (EVM) KPIs to assess project performance.
- Develop and maintain a change log to track all internal and external changes through the management process.
- Establish and maintain the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and control accounts in alignment with baseline budgets.
- Liaise with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams to support financial forecasting, month-end reporting, and subcontractor management.
- Prepare and update project cash flow forecasts in alignment with the project schedule.
Requirements
- Quantitative, Engineering, or Construction Management post-secondary degree.
- 2 to 5 years of related cost control experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Nuclear industry qualifications.
- Demonstrated analytical and adaptive thinking skills.
- Ability to meet mandated nuclear export control requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
