Cost Controller

Responsibilities

• Provide cost control support to ongoing nuclear construction projects and ensure compliance with project controls standards.
• Assist in project set-up, converting bids into baseline budgets, and reconciling gaps.
• Create and maintain project status update reports, forecast reports, and project dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct regular variance analysis to understand trends and provide narratives for corrective actions or recovery plans.
• Prepare Earned Value Management (EVM) KPIs to assess project performance.
• Develop and maintain a change log to track all internal and external changes through the management process.
• Establish and maintain the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and control accounts in alignment with baseline budgets.
• Liaise with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams to support financial forecasting, month-end reporting, and subcontractor management.
• Prepare and update project cash flow forecasts in alignment with the project schedule.

Requirements

• Quantitative, Engineering, or Construction Management post-secondary degree.
• 2 to 5 years of related cost control experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Nuclear industry qualifications.
• Demonstrated analytical and adaptive thinking skills.
• Ability to meet mandated nuclear export control requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a detail-oriented approach.
