Cost Controller

Responsibilities

• Completion of capital project cost reporting and variance explanations
• Attestation and coding of vendor invoices and progress billings
• Recording, tracking, forecasting and reporting for In-Service Failure programs
• Preparation of monthly capital accruals
• Creation of work orders to facilitate cost tracking
• Completion of project forecasts, capital budget change orders, and contract change orders
• Preparation of Requisitions, Purchasing Exception Reports, and Approval to Awards
• Analysis and preparation of quarterly commitments
• Completion of project close out documentation including Asset Assignment Forms
• Ad hoc reporting as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a similar field
• Proven cost control experience, preferably in a capital project environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of accounting processes and software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the electric utility industry
