Cost Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish and implement company-wide cost control systems, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead the cost control team across multiple projects to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of project budgets, baseline cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and cost-to-complete values.
• Identify cost overruns and inefficiencies, recommending corrective actions to senior management.
• Oversee the evaluation of variations, change orders, and claims from a cost perspective.
• Review procurement strategies and subcontractor cost proposals to ensure budget alignment.
• Prepare high-level cost summaries and executive dashboards for board-level presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in cost control within the construction or contracting industry.
• Proven track record managing cost control for large-scale, complex projects.
• High proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Primavera).
• Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree (MBA or MSc in Project Management).
• Professional certifications such as RICS, CMA, PMP, or CCP (Certified Cost Professional).
