Cost Control Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates and detailed budgets for pipe spool fabrication projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Track and analyze project expenditures to ensure strict adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures.
• Identify and investigate cost variances and provide corrective actions to address discrepancies.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including cost summaries, forecasts, and variance analyses for senior management.
• Evaluate the financial impact of change orders and scope adjustments in collaboration with project managers.
• Develop cost forecasts and conduct post-project financial reviews to identify lessons learned.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to monitor subcontractor and supplier costs and ensure contract compliance.
• Maintain accurate and organized cost control documentation in compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in cost control, financial management, or a similar role.
• Proven experience within the pipe spool fabrication or construction industry.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SAP, or Primavera.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications related to cost control, such as Certified Cost Engineer (CCE).
