Cost Accounting Manager

About the Company

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed to provide critical power to hospitals, data centers, and remote sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all cost and inventory accounting functions reporting to the Director of Accounting
• Manage manufacturing cost accounting including costing projects, month-end close, and labor/overhead absorption
• Develop cross-functional relationships with Operations and Supply Chain teams
• Analyze cost variances, production volumes, and material usage trends
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies to improve profitability
• Ensure ERP data accuracy through regular analysis and internal audits
• Partner with FP&A to identify cost drivers and ensure accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) calculations
• Prepare accounting schedules and reports for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or R&D
• Expertise in managerial and financial accounting within production environments
• Deep knowledge of supply chain, inventory flow, and manufacturing principles
• Ability to analyze transactional data in an ERP system
• Strong business acumen and organizational skills
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary
• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, MBA, or CMA certification
• Supervisory and financial reporting experience
