Cost Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and accounting leadership for the Sterilization Plant in Tucson, AZ
• Oversee all planning, reporting, and analysis of standard product costing, manufacturing variances, inventory, and component parts
• Manage the annual budget and forecast processes, including the development of standard costs
• Partner with Manufacturing Directors and Plant Leadership to support operational decisions and safeguard company assets
• Drive continuous financial improvement through business case preparation, inventory analysis, and spending analysis
• Ensure all financial reports and records comply with US GAAP, SOX controls, and BD financial policies
• Supervise all financial activities associated with the US-based IPD Sterilization Plant

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in product costing, manufacturing variances, and inventory control
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of SOX controls and US GAAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an audit capacity
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership
