About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review job costs and overhead expenses to flag corrective actions
  • Assist in gathering and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage banking activities, controls, and accounts payable processes
  • Coordinate accounting records with the Controller for accurate reporting
  • Oversee job costing, purchase orders, and payroll processing
  • Support HR administration including onboarding, benefits, and PTO tracking
  • Maintain office and construction supply inventory
  • Manage business licenses and documentation
  • Process workers’ compensation and vehicle accident claims
  • Provide administrative and receptionist support as needed

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Office Manager experience
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting
