Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly cost accounting journals, including complex accruals, prepayments, and amortizations
• Review and identify accounting and coding errors to ensure expense accuracy
• Investigate and explain cost variances across the group
• Work closely with Accounts Payable, Product Control, and Legal Entity Control teams to manage cost adjustments
• Assist with audit queries during interim and year-end audit processes
• Support the development of cost control systems and reconciliations for market data, legal, and occupancy platforms
• Assist in the transfer pricing process by identifying costs to be recharged across Marex group entities
• Identify and deliver process improvements and drive automation within the cost accounting function

Requirements

• Qualified accountant
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications
• Experience working within a regulated environment, including knowledge of associated risk and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player
