Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead components
• Validate Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and cost structures to ensure accuracy
• Perform cost rollups and support new product costing activities
• Monitor inventory transactions, valuation processes, and reconcile accounts with the General Ledger
• Support cycle counts, physical inventory programs, and resolve valuation discrepancies
• Analyze Purchase Price Variances (PPV), labor, material usage, and overhead variances
• Prepare monthly cost and margin analysis reports for management review
• Provide root cause analysis and actionable recommendations on cost variances
• Support the forecasting and annual budgeting processes
• Manage sales incentive computations and accruals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Finance
• Proficiency in SAP, specifically within the FICO, costing, and inventory modules
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Extensive experience with standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional qualification such as CMA, CPA, or CA
• Experience with Power BI, QlikView, or Qlik Sense
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and taxes (GST/VAT/Excise) in India, Indonesia, or Pakistan
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial planning processes
