Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate product pricing and costing models
• Analyze and report product, production and operational costs to identify cost-savings
• Prepare and distribute monthly PPV reporting
• Analyze and monitor the cost structure of the plant including direct, indirect, labor, overhead and raw materials costs
• Implement and maintain a cost control system to manage expenses and reduce waste
• Investigate and report on variances between standard and actual costs
• Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control efforts
• Serve as the Accounting lead at physical inventory
• Interact with Sales to develop new product pricing in Sage X3 ERP
• Assist in the annual financial audit and month-end/year-end closing activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 0-2 years of direct industry cost accounting experience
• Cosmetic or manufacturing industry experience required
• Hands-on ERP experience required (Sage X3 preferred)
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and analytical techniques skills
• Ability to work irregular or extended hours including weekends as needed
• Ability to lift and move boxes and work in production/warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate coursework in Cost Accounting, Forensic/Fraud Accounting, Financial Auditing, or Accounting Data Analytics
