Corrosion Control Technician

Responsibilities

• Implement specified work schedules for routine and priority tasks, managing manpower and equipment effectively
• Ensure correct trade practices are followed, with a strict focus on health and safety in high-risk environments
• Maintain supplies and material stocks to ensure uninterrupted continuity of the work program
• Conduct quality control inspections and final examinations to guarantee end-item standards
• Manage tool control and implement programs for servicing and repairing all corrosion control equipment
• Conduct regular safety briefings and provide on-the-job training as required
• Travel to other locations as needed to support operations

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a CBP Background Investigation Suitability clearance
• High school graduate or equivalent certificate from an accredited program
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corrosion control and 5 years of supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a government license
• Comprehensive knowledge of various refinishing schemes and techniques
• Deep understanding of associated health and hazard risks and established precautions
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, including the ability to interpret data
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work and wear personal protective equipment for extended periods
