Corrosion Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles, equipment, and munitions for painting by removing or abrading existing finishes via sandblasting, scraping, or chemical methods
• Treat corrosion on ferrous and non-ferrous metals using grinding, wire brushing, or chemical acid treatments
• Apply metal conditioners, pretreatment washes, and body fillers to ensure smooth surface contours
• Apply complete finishing schemes using pneumatic or airless spraying equipment or brushes
• Apply lettering and identifying insignia to equipment
• Perform maintenance and repair procedures on all equipment used during duties
• Identify correct thinners and materials for various paint applications

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in industrial corrosion removal and painting procedures, specifically on metals
• Ability to read and understand technical data and identify materials by labels
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 70 pounds and working in various weather conditions
