Corporate Sustainable Procurement Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of ESG criteria (environmental, social, and governance) into end-to-end procurement processes for goods, services, and consulting.
• Conduct supplier market research and analysis, incorporating sustainability standards and climate-related risk considerations.
• Engage with suppliers regarding GHG emissions transparency and alignment with decarbonization frameworks.
• Coordinate the collection and validation of supplier sustainability information and Scope 3 data.
• Support contract administration by monitoring deliverables, ensuring compliance, and maintaining auditable procurement files.
• Partner with internal departments to clarify requirements and ensure clear communication throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, Law, Economics, Project Management, Sustainability, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sustainable sourcing, or contract management.
• Proven experience applying sustainable procurement practices and managing RFPs and contractual documentation.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Citizenship of one of the 48 IDB member countries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional knowledge of French or Portuguese.
• Experience with procurement systems and data analytics.
