Corporate Securities Associate

Responsibilities

• Draft materials relating to public and private offerings of securities, SEC disclosure requirements and corporate governance matters
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Communicate and correspond effectively with colleagues, clients, and other counsel
• Perform legal research primarily in federal and state securities law
• Maintain expertise using library reference materials and electronic resource tools

Requirements

• JD degree
• Bachelor's degree
• Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
• Understanding of compliance and disclosure related securities laws ('34 Act, '33 Act, Regulations S-K, S-X and MA)
• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Securities and capital markets experience
• Experience in a highly rated securities practice at a NY firm
• Top academic credentials
• Stellar law firm employment history with limited changes since graduation
• Additional experience in other corporate areas
