About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver corporate procurement services to IDB Invest, ensuring compliance with established policies and service level agreements.
  • Manage procurement processes for goods and services, including solicitations, evaluations, negotiations, and contract administration.
  • Partner with internal clients to define needs, advise on procurement strategies, and support the full procurement cycle.
  • Prepare and review critical procurement documents such as solicitation packages, evaluation reports, and supplier analyses.
  • Conduct commercial and supplier analyses, including cost and non-price evaluations, to support decision-making.
  • Monitor contract administration, compliance, and key milestones to ensure continuity of service.
  • Support procurement data quality, reporting, and process improvements to strengthen service responsiveness.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of progressive experience in procurement, contract management, sourcing, or corporate services.
  • Proven experience managing competitive procurement processes and contract documentation for goods and services.
  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Citizenship of one of the IDB Group's 48 member countries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as C.P.M. or C.P.S.M.
  • Experience using procurement systems, reporting tools, or analytics.
  • Knowledge of French or Portuguese.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and supplier engagement skills.
