About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the planning and logistics for Corporate, Colonial Life, and Unum meetings and events from conception to completion.
- Perform logistical tasks including designing schedules, flight tracking, ground coordination, and vendor order reviews.
- Provide technical support by building and administering registration sites and meeting applications.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and prepare tax reporting for incentive programs.
- Research, negotiate, and secure contracts for event venues and transportation providers.
- Coordinate onsite operations such as rooming lists, meal planning, and ground transportation.
- Collaborate with senior management to determine meeting objectives, expectations, and budget allocations.
- Act as the primary liaison for external vendors, including registration and app companies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of meeting and event planning experience in a results-oriented environment.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
- Excellent professional communication skills for interacting with all levels of management.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel to support meeting and event execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, specifically in event planning, hospitality, or marketing.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation.
