About the Company
PayPay is a fintech company providing a service enjoyed by 70 million users. The company is home to a very diverse team of members from more than 50 countries and is establishing a development base in India to leverage the country's immense technical talent.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, partnership, and service agreements
- Develop and update internal policies such as HR, data protection, and privacy policies
- Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure timely statutory filings and registrations
- Support incident response documentation and regulatory communication
- Conduct preliminary legal assessments of business risks and maintain documentation for audits
- Drive information security awareness and track developments in India’s DPDP law
Requirements
- LL.B. degree (Mandatory)
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in corporate or commercial law
- Experience in contract negotiation and corporate governance
- Exposure to compliance and regulatory frameworks
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to interpret statutes and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- LL.M. degree
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification
- Experience working in a startup, fintech, or law firm environment
- Ability to independently manage routine legal matters
