Corporate Insurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Deliveroo's international insurance programme, including workers compensation, general liability, property, and specialty lines.
• Lead annual renewal cycles, including programme structuring, data preparation, carrier engagement, and coverage benchmarking.
• Review contracts and define insurance requirements for new business verticals, products, and partnerships.
• Manage certificates of insurance (COIs) and oversee insurance requirements for third-party vendor onboarding.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships within the London market.
• Produce risk reporting and programme analysis for senior leadership using actuarial and renewal data.
• Partner cross-functionally with legal, product, operations, and commercial teams to identify emerging risks.
• Utilize AI and analytical tools for risk modelling and coverage analysis.

Requirements

• Proven insurance industry experience in broking, in-house risk management, or a combination of both.
• Expertise in reviewing insurance contracts, policy documents, and coverage terms.
• Extensive knowledge of international insurance markets beyond the UK.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex insurance concepts for non-specialist stakeholders.
• Proficiency with AI tools and data analysis.
• Excellent document creation and presentation skills for communicating programme positions.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions without day-to-day oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platform or gig economy business models and their associated risk profiles.
• Professional accreditation such as CII qualification (Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII).
• Previous people management experience or readiness to build and lead a team.
• Exposure to captive structures, self-insurance layers, or corporate programme design.
