About the Company
At Tilt, we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. We're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.
Responsibilities
- Own the commercial contract function, including vendor agreements, tech integrations, and bank relationships
- Drive corporate governance, managing board materials, consents, and IPO-readiness
- Lead on capital markets transactions, supporting equity and debt financings and ABS platform development
- Support M&A through drafting, negotiation, and post-closing integration
- Partner with People teams on employment matters and equity compensation management
- Develop cross-border frameworks for international expansion
Requirements
- J.D. and active bar admission in at least one U.S. state
- 4–6 years of legal experience
- Meaningful depth in commercial contracts, corporate governance, capital markets, M&A, or employment
- Ability to own workstreams independently and make sound judgment calls
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
- Interest in fintech or consumer finance
- Comfort with AI-assisted legal workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with tools like Claude, N8N, or contract automation platforms
