Corporate Counsel, Telecommunications & Regulatory

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert on FCC and state PUC regulatory frameworks for UCaaS and CCaaS offerings
• Provide legal guidance on STIR/SHAKEN compliance, CLI masking, and Caller ID obligations
• Monitor FCC rulemakings and state legislative activity to provide actionable guidance to Engineering and Product teams
• Manage regulatory filings and reporting obligations with federal, state, and international agencies
• Advise on call recording consent laws including CIPA and ECPA across U.S. jurisdictions
• Provide coverage on TCPA, FTSA, and A2P/P2P SMS compliance
• Review AI-powered features for compliance with consent and disclosure requirements
• Partner with Privacy, Security, and Commercial Legal teams on customer contracts and data processing agreements
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive consent and disclosure matrix

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of legal experience in telecommunications regulatory matters
• Substantive exposure to FCC rules and the Communications Act
• Practical experience advising on call recording consent law
• Working knowledge of TCPA and FTSA
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and emerging state AI legislation
• Ability to synthesize complex legal analysis for non-legal stakeholders
• Fluency in English
