Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, revise, and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS, on-premise software licenses, maintenance, support, partner, and OEM agreements
• Advise on privacy matters and negotiate data processing addenda and security statements
• Support sales teams globally and optimize commercial functions through playbook and contract maintenance
• Provide support on European legislative developments such as the EU AI Act, NIS2, DORA, and CRA
• Advise on legal issues related to open source, encryption, and data security
• Perform special assignments and strategic projects as assigned

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in Ireland
• 2+ years PQE in a top UK/Irish law firm or fast-paced in-house legal department
• Experience in contract law and commercial contract negotiations
• Familiarity with data privacy and security considerations, particularly GDPR
• Ability to translate legal advice into actionable guidance for business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting sales transactions at a SaaS or software provider
• Familiarity with compliance, intellectual property, insurance, or employment law
• Familiarity with AI issues and experience using AI applications like Claude or Glean
