Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
• Serve as a trusted advisor providing strategic and practical legal advice to business stakeholders
• Provide legal guidance on privacy regulations regarding the collection, use, and sharing of personal data
• Deliver training and guidance to employees on legal issues, best practices, and company policies
• Establish processes and tools to support a scaling organization, including playbooks, templates, and document management
• Identify and execute general process improvements to drive legal department efficiency

Requirements

• 4-8 years of relevant legal experience, with an emphasis on corporate and commercial law
• J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Strong business judgment and the ability to find streamlined solutions to complex problems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the SaaS industry
• Corporate securities experience
• Experience implementing CMS or other legal technology tools
