Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to global teams on contracts, index licenses, corporate law, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including professional services, data/software licenses, and procurement agreements.
• Assist with the modification and updating of template agreements and internal policies.
• Conduct legal research to support business requirements and risk analysis.
• Partner with the global sales team and internal stakeholders to provide business-oriented legal solutions.

Requirements

• LL.B. degree from a leading Indian law university or an internationally recognized foreign law school.
• Enrollment in good standing with an Indian State Bar Council.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience at a top law firm or as in-house counsel.
• Proven experience handling corporate and commercial matters for multinational firms.
• Expertise in negotiating complex commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and third parties.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple assignments.
