About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide training on operational compliance processes and procedures for employees
- Support operations personnel on compliance-related processes, including POA, AMS, and ISF filing
- Conduct internal audits and review reports to ensure adherence to regulations
- Review and recommend improvements to procedures for increased efficiency and compliance
- Assist employees and teams in resolving compliance-related issues
- Prepare and monitor compliance and management reports
- Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding with a strong compliance background
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and Harmonized Tariff Schedule
- Knowledge of CBP, FDA, AES, TSA, Census, and BIS regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Customs Broker
- Customs Certified Specialist (CCS)
