Corporate Beverage Director

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain seasonal beverage menus including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings
• Establish scalable standards of operations for service, glassware, equipment, and garnishment
• Oversee ordering, purchasing strategy, and inventory management to minimize waste and control costs
• Maintain global vendor relationships and negotiate pricing
• Collaborate with clients and caterers to design beverage packages meeting event goals and budgets
• Hire, train, and manage the CHG Event Bar Staff, focusing on recipes and service standards
• Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, health codes, and venue policies
• Provide hands-on support for bar setup, breakdown, and event execution

Requirements

• 8+ years in bar operations, lead bartending, or beverage coordination
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail techniques
• Proven experience with purchasing, vendor management, and inventory systems
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Valid NYC Food Handlers permit
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-unit or portfolio-wide beverage management
• Advanced certifications such as Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET
• Experience with cocktail development, costing, and training
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol)
