About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on a wide range of aviation matters, including corporate governance, general business matters, and complex commercial agreements
- Support aviation-related transactional work, including advising clients on aircraft acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, regulatory considerations, and ownership/operational structures
- Advise clients on business structuring, compliance, and other transactional issues across industries
- Draft and negotiate high-quality transaction documents with precision and efficiency
- Manage multiple matters simultaneously and deliver exceptional service to clients
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across offices and practice groups
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate transactions
- Experience with or interest in aviation transactions
- Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills
- Admission to the Michigan Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission through waiver
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills
