About the role
Responsibilities
- Champion the development, design, and implementation of safe, flexible, and lean assembly processes for the Metallics Business Unit.
- Define and source new product manufacturing tooling and assembly line processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Draft and design layouts for equipment, materials, and workspaces to maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage small to large-scale projects from inception through completion, including feasibility, design, construction, and final launch.
- Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment and manage equipment suppliers regarding technical and commercial requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D and product development engineers to implement effective manufacturing strategies and specifications.
- Support the installation, tryout, and debugging of tooling and equipment at assembly plants.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Education (Community College or Undergraduate Degree) in Engineering or Manufacturing (Automation and Tooling).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, tooling, and program management.
- Extensive proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, or UG.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
