Corporate Assembly Engineer

Responsibilities

• Champion the development, design, and implementation of safe, flexible, and lean assembly processes for the Metallics Business Unit.
• Define and source new product manufacturing tooling and assembly line processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Draft and design layouts for equipment, materials, and workspaces to maximize efficiency using CAD tools.
• Manage small to large-scale projects from inception through launch, including feasibility, design, construction, and final buy-off.
• Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment and manage equipment suppliers regarding technical and commercial requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D and product development engineers to provide input for manufacturing specifications and strategies.
• Support the installation, tryout, and debugging of tooling and equipment at assembly plants.

Requirements

• Post-Secondary Education (Community College or Undergrad Degree) in Engineering or Manufacturing (Automation and Tooling).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, tooling, and program management.
• Extensive knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Catia, or UG.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and attention to detail.
