About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct prospect research to identify corporate and foundation opportunities aligned with institutional priorities
- Develop, write, and coordinate the submission of grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and sponsorship requests
- Manage proposal development processes, including timelines, deliverables, and reporting deadlines
- Collaborate with faculty, academic leadership, and finance partners to gather program data and budgets for proposals
- Maintain grant calendars, funding records, and documentation to ensure compliance with donor requirements
- Prepare stewardship reports, impact summaries, and briefing materials to demonstrate institutional impact
- Maintain accurate records within the University’s CRM (Raiser’s Edge NXT)
- Support cultivation activities, including meetings, events, and campus visits for institutional partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, public administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience, including 1-3 years in corporate/foundation relations or grant writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundraising CRMs such as Raiser's Edge
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing persuasive proposals
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a higher education environment
- Experience with proposal development, corporate giving, or sponsorship coordination
- Experience supporting grant compliance, stewardship reporting, or restricted fund administration
- Familiarity with corporate philanthropy and community relations
