About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage automotive tooling programs from concept to completion
- Interact with internal and external vendors regarding tooling and process design reviews
- Provide technical support for metal stamping and assembly processes
- Attend tool try-outs and assist with troubleshooting
- Maintain documentation during the build and launch phases, including corrective actions
- Monitor project timelines to ensure programs stay on track
Requirements
- University or College degree in Mechanical Engineering (automotive option preferred) or equivalent trade experience in Tool & Die
- 2-4 years of die design experience with metal forming and processing
- Knowledge of metal stamping and die builds/construction
- Understanding of SPC, GD&T, PPAP, and APQP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
- Ability to travel within Canada, the USA, and Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in modular weld assembly
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
