Copywriter and Editor

Responsibilities

• Produce engaging long-form and short-form copy for marketing materials, including emails, print collateral, digital ads, blog posts, and webpages
• Serve as the editor for the VIEW magazine, managing writing, sourcing content, production deadlines, and design collaboration
• Write and build emails within the CRM for admissions communication plans
• Edit and proofread materials produced by various campus departments to ensure brand consistency
• Research and write stories about students, alumni, and faculty to build meaningful connections and brand awareness
• Coordinate with copywriting work-study students on various projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field
• 3-5 years of professional experience in a related field
• Strong editorial, writing, and proofreading skills
• Proficiency in both Chicago Manual of Style and AP styles
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
• An acceptance of and commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with a liberal arts college or university
• Familiarity with keyword research and SEO copywriting best practices
• Knowledge of social media and content marketing strategies
• Experience using Slate CRM or similar CRM platforms
