Copy Center Operator

Responsibilities

• Welcome and support customers in a friendly and helpful manner
• Assist customers in selecting suitable printing methods and materials
• Operate and maintain high-speed printing equipment and related machinery
• Utilize binding, stapling, folding, scoring, and cutting equipment
• Enter invoices into the Print Shop's billing system
• Place orders for materials and supplies to maintain inventory
• Ensure all job requests comply with university standards and policies
• Inform customers of job completion and assist with pick-up or delivery

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in a copy center environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
• Ability to lift and/or transport up to 50 pounds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
• Physical ability to navigate small spaces, use ladders, and perform repetitive tasks like bending or stooping

Preferred Qualifications

• Copy Center experience specifically within a University setting
• Experience with Print Smith Vision billing software
• Experience operating Roland wide-format printers
