Coordinator, STEM Outreach

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination and leadership at the Williamson Innovation Park for STEM activities focused on K-12 access and community outreach.
• Develop and staff regularly scheduled programming to engage the community in STEM-themed education.
• Promote educational and training opportunities at Youngstown State University to build a student pipeline.
• Assist in the development of curriculum and provide staffing support for day camps and summer camps.
• Coordinate daily tasks, maintain accurate records, and gather data for program reporting.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors, staff, and student workers to support organizational goals.
• Attend various events, meetings, and conferences as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• One year of related experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• First-aid and CPR training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in education, curriculum development/design, or a STEM field.
• Three or more years of related experience, including one year in a middle or high school setting.
• Experience with curriculum planning and classroom management.
• Comfort and experience presenting to groups of 25 or more people.
