Coordinator, Outreach & Employer Relations

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Career Connection Center liaison for external employer relations, communications, and event marketing.
• Develop and execute employer engagement strategies and annual marketing outreach plans.
• Maintain positive relationships with business and non-profit communities through email, phone, and personal visits.
• Manage employer approvals and user support for the Handshake platform.
• Coordinate logistics for on-campus recruiting events, including scheduling, greeting recruiters, and managing RSVPs.
• Conduct outreach to recent alumni for the First Destination Survey.
• Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness into curricular and co-curricular experiences.
• Provide in-class presentations and workshops regarding Career Connection Center services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of experience in a communications field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends for networking events and employer information sessions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a higher education setting.
• Knowledge of online recruiting platforms such as Handshake.
• Experience in marketing and promotions within a university environment.
