About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide advisement, professional development, and support to the student governance structure, including the Undergraduate Student Senate and the Student Leader Council.
  • Supervise student government employees such as the Chief of Staff, Constitutional Advisor, and technical team.
  • Advise the Activities Board (AB) and AB Tech regarding large-scale concerts, speakers, and technical production services.
  • Coordinate major campus-wide traditions including THE FAIR, Scotty Saturday, Winter Welcome, and Senior Week.
  • Manage a budget of over $50,000 earmarked for campus traditions.
  • Provide general advisory support to over 350 student organizations on campus.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a student affairs or event planning setting.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in a fast-paced environment.
