Coordinator of Student Development and Strategic Retention

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and assess student-centered initiatives that promote engagement, leadership, and holistic development.
• Provide primary advising and oversight for the Student Government Association (SGA), Royal Court, and registered student organizations.
• Coordinate New Student Orientation, including program design, logistics, and marketing.
• Develop and facilitate leadership training sessions, workshops, and retreats for student leaders.
• Implement engagement-driven strategies to support student persistence and identify at-risk students for proactive outreach.
• Lead the promotion of student programs through social media, digital platforms, and campus communications.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the student experience and address campus-wide needs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to student engagement and programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2–5 years of experience in Student Affairs.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to motivate students.
• Knowledge of mental health and the ability to respond to crisis situations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or a related field.
