Associate or Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine/Technology or Business Administration, Veterinary clinical experience
About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison with partner shelters across the greater Jacksonville area
- Coordinate faculty, staff, and student schedules related to shelter-based teaching and clinical activities
- Oversee animal use requirements and ensure compliance with established protocols
- Manage shelter-based inventory and ensure resources are maintained appropriately
- Develop and implement shelter-specific policies in alignment with University and College standards
- Provide clinical care on an as-needed basis
- Track and manage data related to shelter operations and resource use
- Support reporting and documentation requirements for accreditation and compliance
- Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, students, and shelter personnel
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine/Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven veterinary clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT)
- Experience in animal shelter administration or supervisory roles
- Relevant experience working in higher education
- Knowledge of university program goals and objectives
