Coordinator of Shelter Resources

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with partner shelters across the greater Jacksonville area
• Coordinate faculty, staff, and student schedules related to shelter-based teaching and clinical activities
• Oversee animal use requirements and ensure compliance with established protocols
• Manage shelter-based inventory and ensure resources are maintained appropriately
• Develop and implement shelter-specific policies in alignment with University and College standards
• Provide clinical care on an as-needed basis
• Track and manage data related to shelter operations and resource use
• Support reporting and documentation requirements for accreditation and compliance
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, students, and shelter personnel

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine/Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven veterinary clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT)
• Experience in animal shelter administration or supervisory roles
• Relevant experience working in higher education
• Knowledge of university program goals and objectives
