Coordinator of Online Undergraduate Persistence & Advising

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, student-centered academic advising to an assigned caseload of online undergraduate students
• Lead persistence initiatives and implement targeted strategies to improve student retention and success
• Guide students in developing individualized academic plans aligned with their personal and professional goals
• Assist students with course selection, registration, and schedule adjustments
• Monitor student progress using retention and early alert systems to identify and support at-risk students
• Deliver timely and effective communication to students via phone, text, email, or video
• Collaborate with faculty and cross-functional teams to enhance the online student experience
• Maintain accurate knowledge of program requirements, degree pathways, and institutional policies
• Assist in data collection and analysis related to student persistence and completion

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365
• Experience with Canvas LMS or similar student success platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret and act on student data to drive decision-making
• Commitment to a lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Colleague or similar student information systems
• Experience in customer service or professional student support roles
• Experience working with CRM or Slate platforms
