Coordinator of Disability Support Services

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accommodations and related services for students with disabilities
• Manage the Office for Disability Support Services at the Metropolitan Campus
• Supervise student personnel and provide guidance to the university community
• Serve as a primary resource for students, faculty, staff, and administrators regarding disability services
• Perform administrative duties including decision-making and policy implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience in higher education, support services, or legal issues
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven administrative experience
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students and staff
• Willingness to work non-standard hours, including some evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Student Services, or Higher Education Administration
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws regarding disability access
• Knowledge of assistive technology software
• Strong computer, research, and statistical reporting skills
