Coordinator of Campus Activities and Recreation

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise departmental programs including late-night weekend programming, intramurals, and major campus events.
• Manage the operations and maintenance of campus facilities such as the Fitness Center, Aquatics Center, and recreation fields.
• Oversee departmental equipment, storage, and vehicles including vans and golf carts.
• Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising of student staff, including lifeguards, fitness instructors, and event staff.
• Advise student organizations, sports clubs, and committees on planning, budgeting, and event presentation.
• Develop fitness and wellness programs, including group classes and educational workshops.
• Act as a staff presence during evening and weekend community events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in programming and coordinating campus events.
• Ability to live on campus (campus housing and utilities are provided).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and direct the work of others.
