Coordinator of Academic Excellence, OPCVM

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Academic Excellence in developing and implementing student academic support initiatives.
• Provide personalized academic advising and specialized study plans for academically at-risk students.
• Oversee early intervention strategies and supervise the OPCVM Tutorial Program.
• Guide students with resources to increase engagement, belonging, and overall well-being.
• Strengthen academic support services to improve student success and NAVLE passage rates.
• Assist with clinical year student success plans and develop initiatives for learning and retention.
• Support curricular review, improvement strategies, and student recruitment efforts.
• Foster effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students.
• Participate in university committees and resolve student/faculty issues according to university policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field of study.
• Minimum of three years of experience in higher education or related academic support roles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or another relevant discipline.
• Experience teaching or advising within a professional or graduate program.
• Knowledge of veterinary education goals and student success outcomes.
