Coordinator of Academic Advising

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary front-office contact, welcoming students, faculty, and visitors to the Office of Academic Advising.
• Manage communications by answering telephone calls, routing electronic messages, and responding to general inquiries.
• Coordinate appointment scheduling for Student Success Coaches and maintain advising calendars.
• Connect students with appropriate academic resources and facilitate referrals to support student retention.
• Supervise student employees, including coordinating schedules, assigning duties, and supporting professional development.
• Oversee daily office operations, including record maintenance, correspondence, and administrative documentation.
• Assist with the planning and coordination of advising events, workshops, and outreach initiatives.
• Support leadership through data tracking, reporting, and managing office supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in personal computers and standard office software applications.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with a diverse population.
• Demonstrated commitment to upholding the University’s Christ-centered mission and values.
