About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor internal label product release schedules and initiate clearance work as needed
  • Gather product information, including label copy and video cue sheets, from various departments
  • Obtain and verify songwriter and publisher ownership splits for songs
  • Manage writer administration changes by coordinating with publishers and securing necessary details
  • Research and confirm writer credits for assigned projects
  • Provide regular project clearance and licensing status updates to team leads and project analysts
  • Maintain royalty accounts, including setting up new accounts and collecting W-9 forms
  • Calculate basic copyright royalty rates and update payment statuses
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to video broadcast and synchronization rights clearance
  • Process copyright licenses for physical, digital, and mobile products
  • Register new recordings and products with the US Copyright Office

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in copyright administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • General understanding of the music industry
