About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination and management of housing operations, including assignments, occupancy, billing, and room changes.
- Oversee housing cycles such as room selection, move-in/out, break housing, and access control.
- Administer housing policies, applications, and student requests while ensuring compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Manage occupancy, vacancy, and waitlist processes to support enrollment and strategic housing utilization.
- Serve as a primary liaison with campus partners including Residence Life, Facilities, Public Safety, Dining, and Finance.
- Support data management, reporting, and assessment efforts to drive continuous improvement in housing operations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide crisis response and incident documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in higher education or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex systems, processes, or operations.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or a related field.
- Experience with housing management systems such as Adirondack, The Housing Director (THD), or StarRez.
- Experience with enterprise systems like Banner.
- Familiarity with housing policies and occupancy management compliance.
