About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize training events for UAS and AAM initiatives, including flight operations, software, hardware, and applications.
- Facilitate instruction through online, in-person, and blended or hybrid modalities for non-credit instruction.
- Support broader UAS Department activities such as flight testing, outreach, and consulting.
- Execute training organization and facilitation tasks as assigned by the Associate Director.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in UAS or related industries.
- Proven experience planning, supporting, and executing UAS and AAM related training.
- Small UAS flight experience on a variety of platforms.
- Current FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Strong PC skills, including standard office tools and industry-specific software.
- Ability to read, research, and comprehend technical and regulatory documents.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing reports and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of UAS or AAM Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized training certifications.
- Training certifications in UAS/AAM data analytics, modeling, or simulation software.
- Background in general aviation technologies and operations.
- Current FAA traditional aircraft Pilot Certificate.
- Ability to obtain an FAA Second Class Medical certificate.
